Alison Doody
Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since November 11, 1996. Her debut in a feature film was a tiny role in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte on Taffin in 1988. Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was included in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody was 18 years old in the role of Doody in Bond, was and is still the youngest Bond actress until today. Another film from her early days was a small part in the role of IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she starred Mickey Rourke. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 TV film adaptation The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen and her girlfriend for Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody returned to acting in 2003 with a minor performance as a character in the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. In 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. In 2011, she started the first of two seasons on the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
